Psychic practices come in various forms, but all of them work toward the same thing, which is to bring enlightenment. One of the popular psychic practices for enlightenment nowadays is Angel card reading; although a relatively new concept to many, there’s a growing number of people who are opting for this type of reading over the more commonly known and practised Tarot card reading.
Deck and Imagery
Angel cards aren’t really too different from Tarot cards; they have very specific images that need to be interpreted for a reading. However, Angel decks only feature 45 cards, which is fewer than Tarot’s 78. Also, Angel decks have a different angel on each card which offers a message of advice, comfort and hope; meanwhile, Tarot has both positive and negative images and can reveal dark and haunting elements about life.
Now, when it comes to readings, Tarot relies on the expert interpretation of the reader, or the sixth sense of a psychic. As for Angel cards, the interpretation or guidance provided is obtained through the presence of a celestial being or angel. With the general understanding that angels are sent to the world to serve as personal guardians for every individual, the readings using Angel decks are often uplifting, inspiring or encouraging. Having angels interpret the cards does not mean that the harsh truth is always replaced with positive messages only; angels are completely truthful, but their overall “tone” is optimistic.
As for the process, Tarot card readings do not require any particular ritual, but Angel card readings do. Before the start of the session, the psychic will have to bless the deck first and offer a prayer so the angels will communicate clearly through the cards on the client’s behalf. If you’re the client, you will also be requested to banish all thoughts, and pray that the angel will truly bring enlightenment about your concerns, be they about the past, present, or future.
Also, unlike with Tarot card readings wherein the client would sometimes be the one to select the card, the “selection” of Angel cards is done by the psychic upon the gentle leading of the angel. The cards pulled out from the deck will be interpreted by the angel in relation to the question presented by the client.
Lastly, when the reading is over, it is imperative to thank the angels for their guidance, and then store the deck in a place that is “light and airy” because angels are creatures of light. The storage space has to be surrounded with angel figurines or power crystals, too, as a manifestation of respect for the celestial beings that work through the deck.
